Welcome to the Old Riverton Inn.

Originally an old stagecoach stop along the Hartford to Albany route, the Old Rivertonn Inn is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Overlooking the wild and scenic designated west branch of the Farmington River and less than a mile from Peoples State Forest, the area abounds with outdoor activities including excellent trout fishing, canoeing, hiking, cross-country skiing, biking, tubing, picnicking, and nature watching.

The inn's dining room is popular for miles around, and is open for dinner Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Parties and meetings are held in the enclosed grindstone terrace and served by our Hobby Horse Bar.
